The SKDC at College of Engineering Trikaripur was inaugurated on May 10, 2022, serving as a pivotal center for SKDC Kerala. The establishment of SKDC at College of Engineering Trikaripur was driven by the goal of providing students with opportunities to enhance their practical skills, technical knowledge, and employability. Through a variety of training programs, workshops, seminars, and hands-on projects, the center aims to equip students with industry-relevant skills and knowledge, bridging the gap between theoretical learning and practical application. This preparation is essential for students to embark on successful careers in the field of Engineering.

Furthermore, the center is poised to collaborate with industry partners to offer students and the public real-world experiences and networking opportunities. In a recent collaboration with KILA and the Government of Kerala, the SKDC provided training on "Computer Fundamentals" to elected members of Grama Panchayats in Kasaragod, Kannur, and Malappuram Districts. To date, the SKDC center at College of Engineering has successfully completed training for seven batches of Computer Fundamentals for Panchayat members.
